Cameron County issued the following announcement on April 7.
Cameron County COVID-19 Preparedness UPDATE
The Cameron County Commissioners, in collaboration with the Office of Emergency Services, are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 virus outbreak and its potential impacts on Cameron County. This is a very trying and disruptive time in all our daily lives. We are receiving daily updates from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Governor’s Office and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have also been corresponding daily with our Governor, State & Federal Senators and Representatives and/or their staff along with other State Agencies with our concerns for Cameron County.
County offices remain working with limited staff (as most are working remotely) even though the offices are closed to the public. With that said, do not hesitate to reach out to any of the County Commissioners with any concerns or questions. You may feel disconnected and just want to hear another voice. We are here for you. The safety of our County, our employees and our constituents is our number one concern.
We strongly encourage all residents of Cameron County to follow the CDC and Department of Health guidelines, which you can find on our web site (www.cameroncountypa.com). The guidelines are changing daily, if not hourly, so please adhere to these suggestions! We will get through this and will be stronger for it.
