Clarion University issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.
Clarion University’s Allied Health Associate degree has fared rather well in College Factual’s 2022 Best Colleges Rankings – and that’s a fact.
"We have analyzed almost 5,000 colleges and universities in the United States to come up with this year's ranking. This new edition of our Best Colleges Ranking expands the signals used and the scope of the rankings to include all degree levels and majors," according to College Factual's website. "Schools were assessed across 1,784 different majors & concentrations, 60-plus different places (state, region & nationwide) and 4 degree levels to come up with what amounts to over 800k distinct lists to help students find the best-fit college for them."
Clarion earned three rankings narrowed down by three regions including the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Mid-Atlantic region and the nation:
- Fourth for the Best Allied Health and Medical Assisting Services Associate Degree Schools in Pennsylvania out of 32 schools.
- 13th for the Best Allied Health and Medical Assisting Services Associate Degree Schools in the Mid-Atlantic region out of 96 schools.
- 55th for the Best Allied Health and Medical Assisting Services Associate Degree Schools out of 732 schools in the nation.
There also is a 30-credit allied health concentration within the AS AH degree was created to expand the option to earn an associate degree beyond nurses to students who have completed formal, accredited educational programs in allied health fields such as medical lab technology, paramedic technology, medical assisting, ultrasonography, and others. In the AS AH Allied Health concentration, individuals credentialed in the aforementioned fields complete 30 additional credits in general education and are awarded 30 credits for their clinical training. The allied health concentration differentiates these allied health students from those with a background in nursing. Graduates are positioned to pursue bachelor's degrees that will facilitate even greater opportunities for career advancement. This program is offered only online.
