WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson and Speaker Mike Johnson, along with other Representatives, will be embarking on a trip to Eagle Pass, Texas, on January 3rd. The purpose of their visit is to meet with state and local officials and discuss the failures of the Biden Administration in enforcing border policy. This trip will also provide them with an opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from those on the ground.

Representative Thompson expressed his disappointment with the Biden Administration's handling of the crisis on the southern border. He stated, "At every turn, the Biden Administration has failed to address the crisis on our southern border." Thompson also emphasized the importance of this trip, saying, "House Republicans have put forth solutions, and this trip will allow us to meet face to face with those brave men and women who serve in Customs and Border Protection, who have been sidelined by failed policies."

Speaker Johnson echoed Thompson's concerns, highlighting the severity of the border crisis. He stated, "America is experiencing the worst border crisis in our history, impacting every community in the country." Johnson criticized President Biden and Senate Democrats for their lack of action, stating, "While President Biden and Senate Democrats are asleep at the wheel, House Republicans will not cease in demanding transformative, immediate solutions to the madness."

During their visit to Eagle Pass, Thompson, Johnson, and their colleagues will have the opportunity to meet with law enforcement officials and citizens who are directly affected by the border crisis. This firsthand experience will shed light on the disastrous effects of the current administration's border policies.

This trip serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges at the southern border and the urgent need for comprehensive solutions. By engaging with local officials and hearing from those on the frontlines, Thompson, Johnson, and their fellow Representatives hope to bring attention to the failures of the Biden Administration and advocate for immediate action.

The visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, will provide a platform for those affected by the border crisis to share their experiences and concerns. It is a crucial step in raising awareness and pushing for change. As Thompson and Johnson embark on this trip, their message is clear: the current border policies are not working, and it is imperative to find effective solutions to address this crisis.
