WASHINGTON, DC. – U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson today announced $639,280 for the Two Mile Run Wastewater treatment facility in Venango County to replace existing wastewater treatment facilities. The Two Mile Run County Park offers outdoor recreation and is also a venue for family gatherings with its 12 pavilion areas, swimming beach, rental houses, and campgrounds. The current wastewater treatment facility is nearing the end of its life and beginning to fail, threatening county park activities.
"These funds will directly benefit Venango County residents and serve to help replace outdated wastewater treatment facilities at Two Mile Run County Park," Rep. Thompson said. "This project will allow continued use of the park for years to come. I look forward to the positive impacts this will have in Venango County and throughout the entire community."
