WASHINGTON, DC. – U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson today announced $1.5 million for the Whetstone Cast Replacement in Brockway Borough in Jefferson County. These funds will replace a water main constructed in 1897 that is at risk of catastrophic failure. The work will protect more than 2,000 residents, commercial and industrial businesses, and public facilities.
"I am pleased to announce $1.5 million for Brockway Borough Municipal Authority’s Whetstone Cast Replacement,” Rep. Thompson said. “It is important to invest in critical infrastructure so we can ensure public safety and modernize our water resources to comply with federal drinking water standards. I look forward to the positive impacts this will have in Brockway Borough and portions of Snyder Township."
