U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson announced today that Mr. Aidan Zdarko of Warren has accepted a fully-qualified appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Zdarko, a senior at Warren Area High School, is the son of Jennifer and Richard Zdarko. His grandparents are Danny and Sally Egger of Warren, Pa., Mary Ann and Daniel Zdarko of Warren, Pa., and Wayne and Pamela Nasman of Warren, Pa.
“Aidan is a go-getter and is always striving to help others. His commitment to service is an inspiration to us all,” Rep. Thompson stated. “His leadership on the baseball field, in the classroom, and in his community will set him up for success at the United States Air Force Academy. I wish him the best of luck as he starts his military career.”
Zdarko serves as Team Captain of the baseball team, Senior Class Secretary, and is the Founder of the Military Club and STEM Club at Warren Area High School. He volunteers with the YMCA Youth Baseball Camp, Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight Chapter, and the American Legion.
