Rep. Lee James announced that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has allocated over $9 million in funding to benefit the Clintonville Borough Sewer and Water Authority and the city of Titusville. This funding includes both grants and low-interest loans aimed at improving water infrastructure.

The Clintonville Borough Sewer and Water Authority is set to receive a $7.062 million grant for comprehensive upgrades. The project involves replacing the current plant, upgrading two pump stations, and installing new equipment such as a headwork with dual auger debris removal system, a 100,000 gallons-per-day dual-tank Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) continuous flow treatment system, sludge dewatering equipment, ultraviolet disinfection tools, an emergency generator, and electrical switchgear.

Titusville will benefit from a $2 million loan intended for testing and production wells to collect water quality data. Additionally, plans include constructing a new water treatment plant adjacent to the existing facility.

“This is fantastic news for the residents of Clintonville Borough and city of Titusville,” said James. “These projects will go a long way to ensure our communities receive the best services available.”

PENNVEST was established in 1988 to provide financial assistance through grants and low-interest loans for various water-related infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania.
