Rep. Lee James has announced the allocation of nearly $1.1 million in state funding to support two community projects in the 64th District. This funding comes from the Local Share Account (LSA) Program.

"I am pleased to see these significant investments made into our communities so we can further grow and improve the district I am extremely honored to represent," said James.

Franklin City is set to receive $600,000 for the removal of a high-hazard dam on an unnamed tributary to the Allegheny River. The project aims to restore the stream channel to its original flow path, complying with Department of Environmental Protection requirements. The initiative will reduce sediment loads entering the watershed and eliminate risks associated with dam failure and flooding.

The Titusville Redevelopment Authority will receive $491,860 for renovations on the third floor of Titusville Towne Square. The space will be transformed into a professional networking area featuring offices, conference rooms, a library, and an Airbnb. Funding covers renovation costs, equipment purchases, internet expenses, HVAC systems, and building materials.

These grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority as part of their responsibility over programs supporting Pennsylvania's economic growth. LSA grants are funded through gaming revenues.
