State Senator Scott Hutchinson | Pennsylvania 21st District
Senator Scott Hutchinson of Pennsylvania will continue to serve on the same Senate committees as he did in the previous legislative session. Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward announced the committee assignments for the Senate Republican Caucus, confirming Hutchinson's roles.
Hutchinson will remain vice chair of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and a member of the Game and Fisheries Committee, Health and Human Services Committee, and Local Government Committee. "I am pleased to continue serving on these important committees that have a direct impact on the citizens I represent," Hutchinson stated. He emphasized that this continuity would help him build on his experience and deepen his expertise in these areas.
In addition to these roles, Hutchinson was reappointed as chair of the Senate Finance Committee by Ward last week. This position has been held by Hutchinson since 2017. "Sen. Hutchinson’s longstanding experience and knowledge of financial matters makes him an excellent choice to continue in his role as chair of the Senate Finance Committee," said Ward. She noted that his insight is crucial for simplifying Pennsylvania's tax structure and ensuring economic success for future generations.
Hutchinson expressed honor in continuing as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, stating his goal remains to simplify Pennsylvania’s tax system for taxpayers' benefit and support long-term economic success for the state.
Representing Pennsylvania's 21st Senate District, Hutchinson serves areas including Butler, Clarion, Erie, Forest, Venango, and Warren counties.
