U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson has announced that Juuso Young from Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, has accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Young is currently a senior at Port Allegany High School and is the son of Ink and Andrew Young. His grandparents are Pat and Paul Young from Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
Rep. Thompson expressed his support for Young's achievements: "Juuso is an accomplished young man in the classroom, on the football field, and throughout his community. His commitment to excellence will enable him to compete among the top students at the Military Academy," he stated. "Juuso has proven himself as a leader, and I wish him the very best in this next chapter."
Young holds leadership roles as Senior Class President and captain of the varsity football team. He also participates in Keystone Boys State and competes as a varsity athlete in two sports.
