HARRISBURG – Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Armstrong/Clarion) and Sen. Scott Hutchinson (R-Butler/Clarion/Erie/Forest/Venango/Warren Rep. (R-63) announced the Redbank Valley Public Library in Clarion County has received a Keystone grant of more than $51,000 for improvements to the library.
“Our libraries play a critical role in our communities which goes far beyond education,” Oberlander stated. “Redbank Valley Library offers programs like the summer reading program, access to computer technology and meeting rooms for local organizations. I applaud Redbank for providing these valuable resources and continuing to invest in our community.”
“This grant funding is a way to continue supporting the vital role our public libraries play in providing and enhancing educational opportunities throughout our communities,” said Hutchinson.
The grant funding, awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Office of Commonwealth Libraries, can be used to help public libraries improve their operations, install equipment and upgrade security systems.
Representative Donna Oberlander expressed her support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of libraries in community development. Sen. Scott Hutchinson echoed this sentiment, highlighting the significance of public libraries in enhancing educational opportunities.
The Redbank Valley Public Library in Clarion County is set to benefit from the grant funding, allowing for improvements that will further enhance the services and resources available to the community.
